The House
The Sydney Opera House under blue skies. Located on the land of the Gadigal people, this point was called Warrang by the original Aboriginal inhabitants. Warrang, which means 'scars on the back', was a site of initiation for young boys entering manhood with traditional ceremonies involving back scarring.
To this day it is still a site of ceremony, with performances in the arts, music and theatre. It's important that we always acknowledge and celebrate the owners of this land and the culture and tradition they bestowed on us.
