The Barn: Hobart, Tasmania

P2130906_edit.jpg

Hobart is a pretty special place, it is definitely one of my favourite destinations in Australia. We visited again in February and staying at The Barn made our visit one that we would never forget.

The Barn was originally built in 1829, a horse stable for the residence at the front of the property and in 2012 was purchased by two talented young architects, Elizabeth Walsh and Alex Nielsen. The amazing renovation is not only beautiful but also makes very smart use of the modest space, which is only 62m2. It maintains the history and charm by keeping the original materials while also introducing modern style and intelligent design.
