Euro Trip 2015: The Bauhaus

What is the Bauhaus I hear you ask? A very good question! I was asking this too until Daniel enlightened me. The Bauhaus, an art school, was one of the first and the strongest influencer in the modern art and design movements.

The Bauhaus had long been on Daniel's bucket list after design school, so arriving in Berlin we planned a day trip to see the birth place of modern design.

The school was very peaceful and wandering the halls you really began to notice the clean lines and simple palette that is so present in almost all of today's modern architecture. This simplicity was such a revolutionary change in the design and art worlds at the time, worlds that were so used to the Victorian opulence of the previous centuries.
