The Williamsburg Bridge

Three months after arriving in New York, living a life of limbo in temporary accommodation, we finally moved into our own little space of this big city in South Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Located down by the East River our apartment block is adjacent to the Williamsburg Bridge, the lesser known sibling of the Brooklyn Bridge.

While some people may think living so close to one of the main thorough-fairs into Manhattan might be a noisy disruption to life, for me it is a wonderful, ever-changing view right outside my window. During this time when we are confined to our apartment for the majority of our day it is therapeutic to watch and hear the passing trains trundle across the bridge, the sunset back lighting it’s steel limbs and joggers slowly striding by as they seek a small respite from the confines of isolation. Here are some of my favorite photos I have taken of my neighbor, the Williamsburg Bridge.
